Sailing Away on TVA and Atlantic Ocean

We only have a J24 named "Angry Parrot" which we race on Watauga Lake.  We also have Beneteau 32 for sailing with friends and teaching sailing every June-August with the Power Squadron

We sold our sailboat, Ragtime (J40), in Charleston Harbor Marina.  We sailed it to Key West in 55 days and back in 4 days.  We also did a trip to Ocracoake on the Outer Banks and up the Potomac to Washington DC.

Below is a picture of us sailing our J40 Ragtime in Charleston Harbor.  Tha picture was taken by a friend standing in Battery Park facing towards Mt. Pleasant, SC.

NOTE:  The Sailing pictures are at the bottom of the blog, the tope ones are our trip on Viking to the Adriatic.

I originally started my website to share my experiences sailing on Watauga Lake, a TVA lake in northeast Tennessee.  Over time, I devloped a WLSC website for our Watauga Lake Sailing Club.  During that time, we acquired a Catalina Capri 14.2, an O-Day 272, a Catalina 270, four different Holder 20's, and a J40.  We currently only have the J24 and Beneteau 32 on Watauga Lake.

We kept the J40 named Ragtime for many years at Charleston Harbor Marina.  We also kept it for several years at Northwest Creek Marina near Beaufort, NC.
